|The Jewish Agency has arranged on Sunday to take thousands of children and teenagers from the south to areas outside of rocket range for a rest. In addition, the agency's fund for victims of terror is distributing emergency grants to residents who were injured or whose houses were damaged by rocket fire. The Jewish Federations of North America provided funding for the grants, which average 4000 shekels per recipient. In the last few days, representatives of the fund visited the homes of families who suffered from rocket fire and distributed the emergency funds.
Separately, Keren HaYesod donors have raised one million dollars to purchase reinforced shelters for residents of the south. The Interational Fellowship of Christians and Jews raised a similar amount.
