Security forces have stepped up their mobilization throughout Judea and Samaria due to readiness for potential disturbances after Muslim Friday prayers. These disturbances are expected as part of the ongoing solidarity campaign for hunger-striking Palestinian security prisoners, also to mark the anniversary of the 1994 Baruch Goldstein massacre at the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron, and the upcoming visit of US President Barack Obama.
Jerusalem police are also mobilized with the larger forces, primarily in the eastern part of the city, and especially around the Temple Mount.
